DIS Reportedly Shopping for 40% of XCIT...

According to ZDNet article (which I would post if
my 'chine weren't being temepramental today), DIS or
Time Warner wants a 40% stake in XCIT.

One analyst is a little skeptical about this. But,
the rest of the article builds a case for this being
a smart scenario.

SoftLock Services (www.softlock.com) is about to become another public company that is engaged in e-commerce. This development stage company is a provider of tools and services for information commerce. SoftLock provides a secure means of purchasing and protecting intellectual property such as software, CDs, videos, etc. Some of its better known clients include John Wiley & Sons, Inso Corp., and Novell.

The company has announced its intention to merge with Fieldcrest Corp., a fully reporting public company whose stock trades on the electronic bulletin board under the symbol (FLCR).

Walt
