Jun 1, 1998 (MULTIMEDIA WEEK, Vol. 7, No. 22) -- Micron Technology
Inc.'s [MU] motivation for a modification to the PCs graphics subsystem called Socket X is to sell embedded DRAM. But if the company's proposed architecture is a hit with PC OEM customers, it could give startups and second-tier firms a shot at OEM design wins.
