Think about what you are saying. This really doesn't help CSHK cause. There are literally thousands of "computer guys" (and gals) who do this sort of work for their employer. This is not to cast aspersions on Mr. Clifford. He's probably good at what he does. But what he does, doesn't appear to be a mainstream software test house, it looks like he's the local techie at a beemer dealership with a sideline or two, one of which is testing software for CSHK.

A mainstream test house would have a significant staff, numerous customers, be referenced in at least a couple of trade journals, and probably not be subsidized by any car dealerships.

This is, as usual, more than a little tiresome (and mendacious) of Bruce. Not only did we have the links, we posted them here. So what's his point?

Dave Clifford claims 18 years' experience in the automotive business. Doing what? Not being a webmaster; the web's only existed for five years.

Nobody's ever said that he didn't run FX-Internet. But we have indeed asked why a site designer and webmaster was chosen to test Y2K software. There are people who specialize in this work.

isoman: Good find. Bruce is very good at getting out and doing DD on stuff that really counts. He has helped me tremendously.

Isoman,
And I really was going to lurk..
ButI read this and and am curious...again.
"Clifford is a computer guy"
Well, I don't argue that---he apparently has a fulltime job with Momentum and seems to design on the side. So do my children and half of their friends. My now 17 has been designing webpages and programming since he was 12 or 13. He has a company. On his pages you'll find a list of clients, and his menu even works. He's very bright. However, that doesn't qualify him to be an expert in the field of Y2K Testing. What are Mr. Clifford's qualifications training, experience? His site is minimal, and I couldn't get much information from it.
Just my impression. But I can't help but wonder if the reluctance to help us find this information is a result of knowing that it's not quite the same thing as the implications made in the announcement (That a highly qualified professional company tested and validated their software).

One other thing about that, isoman. Bruce, as usual, is strectching the story. I posted much of that material on May 4. Take a look: Message 4321760

And of course, John Chapman is fibbing as well-not surprising. As you can read in that post, I never said internet-fx was a car dealership. I merely wondered about dcliff's qualifications.

The shills on this board and over at Yahoo have a remarkable knack for taking a posted fact and twisting the hell out of it. I can understand an occasional error or two-but when it's nearly every single time, it's hard to figure out if they're simply insanely stupid or just plain crooked.
