Glenn, good point about the ethical nature of the business. I feel that many of the bears are frustrated due to the fact that powers far greater then fundamental analysis have controlled the destiny of this stocks recent price as well as many of the net stocks. The analysts bogus upgrades, bull market, and many well timed press releases have kept this one afloat. In light of the recent revised downgrades in earnings, someone is doing a
fine job of manipulating perception and perception is still good in Wall Streets eyes. Question is why should this stock be rewarded when other companies have to show growth in earnings to validate price ? That is the problem I have with this scenario. AMZN is trading higher then DELL and MSFT as we speak. Eventually I see the EBITDMA valuation model going the way of the Edsel. It is stocks such as this that cause real "investors" to question the
actions of market makers, analysts, and CEO's all in an effort to make some quick dollars and cash in. Look at the 144's filed over the past few weeks. If we should for unforseen reason ever enter a bear market in the next two years, they will be scraping this one up off the pavement. It is situations like this that cause many to lose faith in the systems that have generally allowed research and analysis to be a meaningfull tool to find value in
securities. The violation of those rules is what has caused the cynicism. It is clear as day what is happening here, and so far has been successful. What I would like to see is RS's reasoning for 2001 profitablity of 1.75 but I really doubt if they know what they see at all. Unfortunately, they have the power to influence the street and we do not. I expect more of this garbage to come, right when you think the stock is about to crack and now (losses)
will be easier to beat as comical as that sounds for an 88 dollar stock. These are just my opinions. Good luck to all.
