Apple has NEVER has a monopoly.????. I seem to remember the Apple II's being pretty damned dominant in america..

Sorry, but as far as desktop operating systems go, they had an enormous lead in the late 70s and early 80s. You can argue as to what's a monopoly, but they sure had something very close to it.

Besides, the argument that Apple ripped off Xerox PARC makes little sense to anyone who actually ever seen the Xerox Star interface. The comparison between Windows/Mac is vastly closer than Mac/Star.
