I spoke with John Gorman today. I asked specifically what types of companies are evaluating GigaMux. The answer was Telco's, CLEC's (I think that's the right acronym) and network operators.

He also said that he thought Fore targeted mostly Telco's with the ATM/GigaMux combo.

At any rate 21 evaluators is positive. I doubt that 21 companies need to replicate each others tests. So at some point the evaluation process must begin to be reduced as hard evidence is gathered by some of the more respected Telco's, WCOM for example. With that said, I still think it's reasonable to believe that if we had strong enough demand pressure in the area of metropolitan fiber distribution, that we would get some sales with a less rigorous evaluation, in other words some folks looking for any band-aid out there. I'm just hoping that the GigaMux has jumped the competition not the gun.

Cautiously optimisitc,

Scott
