Again, I think it is because there are still some people who just don't get it. They think that if they sell today, they will still be a shareholder of record as of today. LOL - there may even be some who think that if they own it for the majority of the day they will qualify.

Needless to say, we have heard just about every possible response to that question. For those of us who understand, our next question in "Who in their right mind would sell?"

However, it is the very people who still don't get it who ARE selling. I think they will get it come Monday, but I don't think they will like it.

I think those who "get it" about the "P" have already stocked
up in anticipation of the day. I would like to buy more, but
I've shot my wad and buying more would unbalance my portfolio
and break my distribution and liquidity rules.

P" is a great deal, but not liquid. It's not the sort
of thing I would want to place on margin.

I think the smart players have already taken their positions.

You are almost correct - you forgot to add the dividend P into your equation...even though it's at a different conversion date.
