>Cisco Systems (CSCO) fell 1 7/8 to 75 5/8 after CEO John Chambers said the computer-networking giant will have troubling maintaining its growth rates unless Asia's economies rebound. Chambers said the economic turmoil in Asia has made him "cautious'' about the next 18 months.<

Does anyone know what time Chambers made this statement? Did anyone else pick this up? 18 months is a long way out. That is the most surprising part to me. I believe Chambers is the networking CEO who's pretty much associated with statements about 30-40% annual growth rates. Sounds like he may be backing off this a little.

On top of the Bay news, and Merced news, it doesn't bode well for the tech stocks next week (IMVHO).
