Mohan:

I agree about the SLV's. The most interesting aspect of all these is that India pays an Abdul Kalam about $10,000 per year and similarly to some of the smartest minds in the world to develop all these technologies. What is the world market value of these scientists?

Dubbing India "poor," even though many Indians are living in poverty, is dumb. How? A brilliant computer programmer making about $10,000 in Bangalore (the second silicon valley on earth) easily gets $100,000 in US. Given that the Indian national output is mainly due to this middle-class, one should simply multiply the Indian GNP by about 10 to compare India with other countries. It is silly that many do not understand simple laws of economics.
