The INTC juggernaut is unravelling big time - the one big thing for them next year - Merced - is being pushed out.

Do I hear violins in the background?

On Monday we will get a really good feel for the semi-sector effect on LSI (unless of course this somehow has been magically priced in... <sheesh>).

Me being the anti-bully always nice to see INTC get the occassional toasting once in a while (even if this means LSI going down - buying opp. for LSI)

This news combined with the FTC lawsuit and then what likely will be not very good earnings should just about do the trick and scare the living daylights of any s/ to i/t INTC "investors" - we should be approaching this year's lows over the next 4-6 weeks.

(FINALLY and about time - this waiting was getting really boring - when AMAT and INTC get toasted, AMAT a few more months I think, all the excesses and die-hard investors' high expectations will be wrung out and life will be very good for those patient souls who did not buy the hype about PCs (vanishing margins) and semi-equips (vanishing demand)...).

Ladies and gentleman start your engines.

Shane.

The new DVD equipped PCs I have looked at all had
software decoding. How will LSI make money here?
Do they have a product in the add on market to
upgrade existing PCs?
