Re -- Intel Merced delay..

Actually, Previous estimates from Intel were rough estimates of mid to late 1999. Now that more definite info is available they are able to firm up the schedule. Also samples should be shipped in 1999.

It shouldn't affect anyone much, because
-- Merced is targeted at the high end, and would have minimal impact on revenue in the 1st year of production (year 2000 and beyond)
-- OEMs working with Merced, have been notified 2 years in advance (which is a LONG time) and should be minimally affected.
-- Intel's road map for the high end goes well into 2001. (They will be selling PentiumII's beyond 2001).

Its really much ado about nothing...

As for the stock price in after hours, once CNBC brings in "respectable" analysts, they should confirm the above and the stock should start trading normally. IMO.
