Yep, it sure would. And like I said before, if it turns out that it wasn't even a beta, I think that could effect the price also. I see a lot of start-ups that have an interesting idea but if it's their first and only software product, I don't get too excited about an alpha. The list of 'has-been' start-ups with a first-time alpha gathering dust on the shelves in the Hall of Great But Dead Ideas, is long.

If the company has a track record, I'd get more interested in the alpha. Otherwise, I'd wait until a beta or even market release. Maybe I'm the only who does this. Thus, I consider a "beta which isn't" to be misleading.

&#147If there was a statement made as to the fact that the product absolutely was great, would that not create, a buying frenzy, driving the price up.&#148

I'm afraid I found your post rather opaque. But in my view, the immediate point is this: will CSHK deliver the Y2K software for sale on Monday, as promised, or not? Birish and Joe Turmaine's recent posts seem to suggest the latter.

And??? I won't say anything more, as I wouldn't want to offend John by using words like "possibly" or "probably".
