Peter,

Thanks for the information on DELL. Actually due to a pure mistake, I shorted DELL from 97 1/2 to 83 without even knowing my position. It appeared that when I bought DELL through DATEK, they bought several hundred extra shares for me. When I sold those shares at 97 1/2, I did not notice that they have corrected the mistake and I ended up shorting several hundred DELL shares from 97 1/2.

Well, I certainly wouldnot have shorted DELL at that price, even at 100. First, I am not a bear. Second, I would never short these high flyer blue chip issues who don't have a chance of missing earnings (MSFT, DELL, AOL, LU, CSCO, YHOO!). I would look for any further weakness in DELL as a good entry point. It's a good bet that the issue will be traded in the 80s after another split later this year.

good luck,
larry!

Day Traders? Bafoons. If they are such good traders they should get out and trade, not sell advice.
