I just walked in the door and saw the above. At about 10:am I tried without any success to short another 1k shares when Amzn was up only 1 5/16 . I trade through Dlj and was told there was not one share available to short. Now wait a minute if I'm prepared to pay 88 or 89 and no one will lend me a share , give me a break!! If we could get the SEC to audit on whats gone on here since Morgan Stanely sold the junk bonds, we might have a Manipulate/Gate. I smell a MSDW stence! H There have been a lot of Amazon trades that are short sales that are restricted shares. I have yet to find out what a restricted share may be. However, the only companies that I follow that trade restricted shares are AMZN abd KTEL. Does anyone know what a restricted share is? Glenn
