>>Would you trust anyone that did not have any info in the personal section other than the date they joined SI?<<

Well, I trust *me*. :-)

A bit ironically, I don't have info in the personal section because *I* don't trust others. A very slight chance that the info could be misused, I'm sure. Still, the benefits of posting the info seem to be small, also. I don't think I should be trusted less, simply because I don't fill out the personal info section.

Maybe I shouldn't have signed up under my real name. :-)

kirk, i use an alias as here are strange folks on si along with the vast majority of sound people. i read nothing into whether on decides to post personal information. there are legitimate reasons not to, imho.

good luck.

Kirk:

I suppose there are many legitimate reasons for having nothing in the SI profile other than the date of arriving here. The person may be a celebrity, may fear kidnapping or spamming, may even not know how to go back and fill it in if they didn't bother with it the first go round. However, from my view it would be rather hypocritical to neglect entirely your own profile but at the same time go out and access everyone else's out of prurient curiosity. --Al
