Why is DELL moving into sub-$1K?

I have no idea. Maybe they *had* to take some Celeron chips in order to get the good stuff. Intel's supposed to be a bully you know. ;-)

DELL a reluctant participant/Friends helping friends is all.

M.Dell said so when the news about Celeron was announced by Intel a while back.It looks like they may have to help out Intel with this chip. But anyway this won't be a big part of the equation and I won't be surprised they eventually scrap the Celeron PCs completely 'cos they are not best the low cost chip out there. So consider this as a favor Dell is doing for Intel.
