Better late: Cov'd. calls vs. Shrt. puts -and- 15 mins. vs. next yr.:

Cov'd. calls vs. shrt. puts: Eric and all: Thanks much for your comments and the gd. quote. I undrstd. what Eric meant, had never read on cov'd. c's. as a gd./bad strategy and am still working on the better of the 2 moves. Part of the cov'd. call trades are in fact in 2 IRA's, thus ltd. by these optn. trades as mentioned. Also, I have often held the same undrlyg. stock for 6+ contin. mos., selling the cov'. c's. monthly or mltple x's intra-mo., w/optns. exr'g. o-o-$. It's v. likely I'm dumb as dirt, but, initial cap. outlay aside, seems to me there are fewer sep. trans's. than w/shrt. puts.

15 mins. vs. next yr.: LOL; NTL, I would only point-out , &, again, likely d. as d., but, 15 min. flucs. can often be far less pedictible, and susceptible to undisciplined impulsivity, than in predicitng next yr's. annual activity on a partic. stk. & than in yr. in/yr. out consistent strategy.

Thanks to all for the xllnt. reading and site ref's. .....

{AIA [=apology in advance] for abbrevs. -- @ least it's not my usu. part math symbols, Span., or Ital. :) }

P.S. Back in the air & on the road again ---- am working on totally wireless data transm's. 2 laptops, but if any of you have a pref./rec. re: NOKA, MOT or ??? "new" cell ph. data life support line, I'd be much obliged.
