The last five weeks the group average has gone down. The amount is 21 percent. The following is a comparison 5 weeks ago with today to see who the "winners and losers" were. The answer is somewhat surprising. Good old FSII didn't do so bad. I guess it has been beat up so bad for so long it had no place left to go. The base point for comparing the group records was started on 4/25/97. This is the point from which the rally of 1997 started. The closing price today for the group is only 4 points higher than the closing price on 4/25/97. That is essentially 0 gain for the group in 13 months. For people buying at the beginning, what would be their position today? Depends on the stock bought as shown below. As you might expect, if you had bought FSII, you would not have moved in 13 months.
