How can you objectively say that the glass technology is not competitive with Ballards PEM when you just looked at one side of
the story by only looking at Ballards Patents???
Until they have side by side PEM FC tests no one will know for sure!!

Oh congratulations on your very first posting on SI. Where did you
get your PhD? Maybe if you got a PhD in engineering physics you would
be better qualified to make some wild guess.

>>> Glass versus Trifluorostyrene...

Hello.. I'm a Ph.D. in physics and I've had a chance to look at the Ballard patents recently. My judgement at the present time is that the so called "glass" technology does not represent any challenge to Ballard's technological lead, and the claim may
be even meritless.><<<

It is an honour to hear from someone who has taken the time to research the technical aspect of Ballard's fuel cell and those of their latest potential contender. I'm sure I speak for several of us in requesting for, and eagerly anticipating, a future posting on your reasoning why the "glass" tech. does not represent any challenge to Ballard.
