Use the search function at the bottom of the page and type in key words. Make sure you select "full text" mode

SI does have a searching feature, but it only goes back 30 days or so. You can also look at individual profiles to see recent posts, but it only goes back a very short period as well, though I don't know if the limit is based on time or number of posts, or both.

Actually, I simply relied on an old-fashioned tool, memory. I remember the old discussion from 1996 as if they were yesterday, so I just went back to the start and clicked forward to late 1996. With only 950 post or so it wasn't too hard to find what I was looking for since I knew the approximate time. Try that on the Intel thread and you could be searching forever though. <VBG>

I do note one major change from 1996, though. In 1996 you were saying that given their monopoly situation and order backlog that they were a good company, just a bit ahead of themselves, and that you might re-enter at a lower price. Today you are saying that given increased competition from UTEK, the lack of a backlog, pushouts, etc, that you really don't want to own them at all, and that you don't even buy the prospect of 20% growth. Isn't that it?

jeffrey, I should add that you can search old SI web pages by using Alta Vista. It does work, but you usually get a lot of hits to look through. Searching for "jeffrey bash" and "ETEC" I got 208 hits. Frankly, my memory was faster and took me less than a minute.
