As I understand it --- the Market Makers for the bones...

are archeologist, National Geographic photographers, poachers, and the like. Trading IS done in U.S. dollars.

For example: A Photographer is given the bones on consignment. He then offers them to the shaman in exchange for getting the villagers to pose for photagraphs. Once he makes a market with the photos, he then pays for the bones in U.S. dollars.

In some areas villagers take to the jungle and capture wild monkeys, exotitic birds, or medicinal herbs in exchange for the bones.

The important thing to remember is that this is a niche market that has virtually no competition. This is what gives POFM the competitive advantage.

Hope this clarifies the matter.
