Aloha, a bear or bull market is anything but a "state of mind". Its a "state" of one's losing or making money.

I agree that tech stocks are going to report weak earnings for the next quarter or so. But, so will many, many of the non-tech companies do the same. Where did you get the 90% tech stock estimate? I suspect that you pulled the number out of the air. If you have a reference for this estimate, I would appreciate your posting it.

Pressure in Year-over-Year earnings will not necessarily result in a bear market, nor a bear in the tech sector. Some of the factors that result in a bear market are: raising inflation and interest rates, a financial collapse of the global markets, war (although a war like the one in the Gulf resulted in more of a correction than a bear market), excessive euphoria coupled with market valuations that exceed reality, etc. At his time, I don't see a bear market on the horizon, but do see the market correcting as needed to bring valuations more in line with historical norms.

Mr. Aloha, have you worked, or are you now working in the hi-tech field? Some of your statements seems to be out of touch with the sector's performance.
