jhild,

You sound delighted! I know a lot of people who would be envious of you.

You get to go ten years without renewing your driver's license? Our maximum is four years, although with a clean driving record we do get to renew by mail for a quite number of years.

My longest stretch to date for license renewal by mail is 16 years, and then only because the state made radical changes in the license format. All I had to do was go to DMV, have a new picture taken, and answer about four questions. No biggie. I should probably confess that I don't drive very much and thus don't have the opportunity to do a lot of stuff to get caught at.
