One way to make things a little more honest would be for the SEC to require all market makers to report short positions on any stock traded. NYSE.Amex.Nasdaq. BB and Pink sheets.
All stocks.
No exceptions.
The BB stocks now have to become reporting, which is as it should be, but that is only a part of the solution.
I also think that people should be allowed to have certificates in their possesion, if they want.
You are allowed to have the deed to your house, title to your car, why not certificates?
(I believe that in 3 years people won't be allowed to call for certificates, the SEC wants everything to be electronic)
