And from the original Penny stock review, found in the first post on Joe's "Offical Facts Only" thread, I get this:

<< A marketing plan is now being finalized, which includes a specially created web site that will augment distribution to retail, point-of-purchase, mass manufacturers, ATM machine owners, and bundleware sales. >>

So it looks like ATM systems are an integral part of the biz plan to reach $3 million. Say, I didn't see any reference in John's posting of the email from the software tester to any operating systems other than PC's do you suppose he was just assuming ATM systems are PCs running Windows ?

Not having anything better to do tonight, I searched around until I found an ATM vendor that listed a useful description of an ATM unit contents. Herewith I present the Fujitsu 7005 ATM found at this web site: ezairfare.com

A few things I noticed: Hey there's a security minicamera! Guess they wanna take a picture of anyone making unusual withdrawals.

But more importantly, the processor is a 486DX with 4 meg. Well there you go! Pretty obvious its a DOS system. But wait, not so fast there's more.

There's a line that says "* Operational Software (910/911)" I take that to mean its the primary application package that either runs in lieu of DOS (my guess) or on top of DOS. In either case this is the Y2K compliance target in my book.

Now I wonder if this OS (910/911) platform was available to the test house when the alpha version of Winlennium was tested. Also is this product a Fujitsu exclusive or industry standard ? And did the test house consider testing it using DOS and if so which versions. Some ATMs have been around a long time you know...questions, questions, questions, will we ever quit asking these leading questions...
