Totally agree. More later. Have to run for the moment. I not only lay hands on all I pray for, but speak in a very audible voice. I want Him to hear me! No vague whispering from me, for sure. I use every weapon of prayer for healing available. When people ask for prayer, usually it has gotten to a desperate point one way or another. I was at a small Vineyard meeting right before it started getting a little out there, and there was a crying woman who was contemplating suicide from a broken heart because her husband had moved in with a girlfriend. I waited for the guys to do something and finally I just put my hand on her head and started praying rather loudly about this horrible situation. Almost instantly she started wailing and violently throwing her head-- she had covered her face with her hands and was doing this bizarre wailing and bobbing up and down in the chair and I was trying to keep my hand on her head and of course it appeared to all that I was not only almost yelling like a fool but handling her head like a palmed basketball and throwing her around dramatically. I was praying and thinking, Lord, don't EVER put me in this situation again. After this rather disturbing situation the group went back to normal activity and I was still wondering until we were all leaving and she said she knew she was completely delivered and it was over. I remember she smiled and said, "And I can't wait to get home to my kids for the time since he left. I've been so mean to them." So, what I do know is that if we're easily embarrassed, we sure shouldn't do too much praying for the sick. You just never know what's going to happen when the Lord backs up "the prayers of the faithful" and does what He says He will do. Usually it involves a faithful pray-er and a faithful person who has been waiting for the answer to prayer in the first place, not sure it would arrive. I honestly can't see any restrictions in scripture, for sure. Are there any?
