I've been planning on switching from Reuters to QP2 for several months now, but I didn't realize that the QP indices aren't "real" or accurate. (And I certainly don't plan to pay for both services, just to get clean, accurate data.) Am I missing something ? How do you guys plan trades without watching the spx, compx, vix, tyx, etc, and being able to overlay indicators on them ? I build IRL surrogates for the OEX100,NDX100 and the Dow30, (limitation of 255 metastock file size, so no RUT or SPX) because the data vendors won't give volume data, and IRL will build it. But the IRL-built "price-weighted" index looks very different from the actual indexes from Reuters. How you guys watch the general market with QP ?
