If you want an entirely different perspective of America (one based on reality, turn off the tv and radio, don't read any news magazines and stop going to the movies. Do this for 6 months to a year and your perspective on America will change radically. Much of what people "think" is actually programmed into them by the media. The real America -- and the America presented by the media and politicians -- bear little resemblance to one another.
