Maria--Don't forget that buying and selling are each counted on the BB/NASDAQ, plus daytraders have been going in and out of this.. There is of course the issue of shorting but still no firm number on that.

Naked shorting is when you don't even bother to find real shares to borrow before you sell it. It's easy to do if you're offshore or coming in by way of The Great White North.
