john, i think the big boys already know and, therefore, it will be no surprise. just like when mu fell 22 points ahead of their sept eps announcement. however, i will not sell my oct 25s as i see low teens to single digits. i might, however, buy some very short term calls to hedge in case the forever wealthy bears decide to cover their 30-40 million shorts on the news. we're talking owning the calls for a matter of days. i don't want to risk my salvation by holding mu calls for too long ;-) they did this last time at $38. of course, it was dumb to do it then, but do it they did. they will probably just want to lock in the mass of profits.
