FT,

If this country saw another Depression, the U.S. would probably become a fascist state.

That is what worries me. But how long can boom times last? Governments print money, banks create credit, people have jobs, money, increasingly valuable stock portfolios. Everybody is happy, especially the governments who foster the booms to keep their own popularity and power.

So now, booms fade in Asia, Russia, SEA. Overproduction of goods causes deflation. The IMF comes to the rescue. More money is printed to rescue the governments who have printed too much.

Where does it all end? Or does it just keep on going into new-era paradise?

I hope you are wrong about the next recession/depression, but it is something to be feared.

Jack
