Hello Ravi:

Pakistani tests are favorable to Indian diplomacy. I would prefer non-existence of nuclear weapons. But, Pakistanis have acquired all the components of these weapons made and tested in China. This fact as well as the exact Chinese design have been known to the US Administration and Intelligence and so to the Western governments. So Bush could not certify to the US Congress in 1990 that Pakistan did not acquire nuclear weapons.

The American policy makers never communicated their incontrovertible intelligence information on the Sino-Pak nexus for nuclear/missile technology. What India has done is to merely expose this nexus to the US/Western public.

The G8 leaders are big actors before their electorates. Even now Clinton is not telling the truth to the common Americans, preoccupied with their daily lives. The Republican criticism of Clinton foreign policy will certainly help expose some of these details soon.

Most Americans are still pre-occupied with a "moralistic" stand that poor countries like India and Pakistan should not possess nuclear weapons. Americans are unable/unwilling to understand the underlying problem in the South Asian nuclear/missile crisis: Chinese supply of weapons/missiles to Pakistan and the Sino-Pak nexus to intimidate India with the full knowledge of the USA and the West whose goal has been to balcanise India.

The West is still not complacent with their killings thus far. The Indian partition, arming of Pakistan, and conniving a delivery of nuclear weapons to Pakistan may ultimately cause a genocide of the Indus civilization that will perhaps satiate the Western killers.
