Hi Les,

Beautiful sunny day on the Oregon Coast today and I'm in for a short break as I get caught up with all my tree trimming and yard work.

As I understand it, Tyvek is a trademark Dupont product developed by their scientists and primarily used as the " house wrap" that we see in new home construction. They have a huge plant on the east coast which cranks out tons of rolls of Tyvek.

Dupont has always claimed to be " earth friendly " and the pellets supplied from recycled milk cartons ( Waltham, Mass ) allows them to label these FedEx pouches with the Dupont logo.( 25 % recycled content ). The process of chipping these plastic pellets was described to me as being very critical since Dupont has set strict tolerances in their use for Tyvek. (Remember some of these milk cartons come out of the city dump ) Waltham is the ONLY outfit that is able to supply "clean " pellets and ship them in Railroad cars for processing by Dupont.

On that recent " speed bump" which you witnessed recently? Evidently a few long term holders that held paper under one dollar started taking profits after three years. The market seems to absorb this selling very well indeed as new investors scooped up the shares very handily and we promptly bounced back up into the six dollar range.

One other point worth mentioning is the daily volume that we are now seeing , averaging 30,000 shares ? Over the last several months we never saw volume such as this and this would indicate the story might be getting out to the investment community.

I am planning a trip back to the East Coast and visit the Waltham chipping plant and the Plastic Lumber plant in Green Bay, Wisconsin facility this coming fall. I now have the adequate attire ( Red Sox baseball cap and Green Bay Packers jersey )

Keep in mind they have also applied for NASDAQ listing several months ago ?

~~~ stay tuned ~~~~
Correction please ?
Inadvertently called Waltham, Mass the home of EnviroPlastics Corporation of Auburn, Massachusetts which was acquired one year ago in June 97. An estimated 74 % of their sales were from one customer, Dupont, who is now incorporating these pelletized, post consumer feedstock into their Tyvek (R) linings for FedEx mailing pouches.
Current Plastic Lumber Operating Facilities.
Green Bay, Wisconsin
Trenton, Tennessee
Lake Odessa, Michigan
Do we have any lurkers out there in Cyber-Space that live near any of these facilities ?
please drop in for a chat...
The " Gold Standard " in plastic lumber has been manufactured by Polymerix, now part of the USPL family.All of these products are now available thru the Menard company and soon to be distributed nationwide.
