Sonny, I put my foot in my mouth again. Vicky meant Andy wasn't at the MSFT meeting. Oh well, I guess there go ALL my chances with VG. <GGG>.

Good morning Sonny and All,

Sometimes stocks like Intel makes me want to pull my hair out but I think the following article which I found makes much sense and it underlines my original premise when this thread was started:

"Study Shows Merit Of Buy-and-Hold"

washingtonpost.com.

I also think that companies like Microsoft and Dell makes for good long term investments not only because historically they have returned excellent gains to their shareholders due to the hard work and success of their leadership but because these companies are heavily owned in stock by their founders and leaders.

Have a good Sunday

Best Regards
Frank

hi all, if Intc hits $60ish like TK wants we should jump in and buy all u can....this would be one time i would consider being on margin for extended time. why fight the tape? My target of $400 still holds.
this would not be the time to reduce holdings anyway. who knows intel maybe manipulating their own stock to buy at a lower price and thus TK was given bearish guidence??? 6 months later Intel will claim they are ahead of schedule and the stock will soar and TK will be upgrading it.
BAD NEWS IS GOOD
once the bad news is out then stock will hopefully see the bottom.
Worst situation is when there is no bad news and the stock drops and
we have yet to find bad news.

sonny, i knew Merced was being delayed, so if i knew TK knew as well.
Many people in the valley knew it and that is why many intel employees left. Some even left in their 4th and 5th year. (which is when they get fully vested).
I always thought intel internal schedule was different and that internal schedule was being delayed and i never thought that the street would ever find out as the schedule the street knows could be have some padding built into it.

Vigra has been a big hype. PFE stock has price has already builtin
the earnings from viagra. I am looking forward to new drugs in the pipeline and see who gets to FDA first (mrk or pfe). I forget the name.(voxx?)
ICOS: it's not threat to my PFE. one good drug does not make a good investment. Makes for a risky investment. fly hi or dive dip.
BUT our Bill Gates owns 10% of icos.

thx for the post TBR. I don't have any and also did not pick up any at 100. As i m trying to reduce # of holdings.
