** OT ** Weekend Poll Update

The opinions are rolling in so make your voice heard. I have gotten a few free speech responses as a result of some misunderstanding. If you have cast an opinion about free speech, I cannot consider it in the poll as this is not a free speech issue. Everyone has the right to free speech. So you few free speechers come back if you want and clarify your position as it pertains to the question. The question is whether you want Rillinois to continue posting here. Try to say at least "Yes" or "No" or "I don't care" before saying anything else. Add some commentary to the matter if you choose. In fact, the commentary has been the most fascinating part of the poll.

I'll post some of the commentary without your names unless you indicate that you want your comentary kept totally private. Regardless of what your opinion may be, your name in reagrds to how you came out will be kept confidential. Thanks to all who have participated. Make you opinion known before Wednesday. Results to be posted that day.

Pete,

If accounting principles do what they are supposed to do, shouldn't book value be a reflection of the value of underlying net assets ?

No conspiracy theories here. In fact, I don't understand why people don't see what seems like obvious fundamental overvaluation to me. I see plenty of evidence without blaming the accountants of the world. I just wonder who the scapegoats will be if we ever get a major dose of RATIONAL exuberance.

Thanks for your posts.
