wow. I knew that Islamic countries were tough on crime, but hanging prostitutes and televising it...I never knew they had done that.

Way back, like 200-300 years ago, England publicly hung virtually anyone that transgressed the letter of the law, from pick-pockets to prostitutes, but fortunately that practice ended somehow. Maybe someday these other countries will realize that you can be tough on crime without being sadistic about it.
