Answers the question,

What do you think about the way telephone networks and
data networks that rely on IP (Internet protocol) are merging?

Right now IP has got a big problem because you can't do real-time
network management. That's the unfortunate thing. The typical
router today can give you some information about what's going
through it, but it can't help you figure out what's gone wrong until
you have some sort of stoppage.

The new "router switches" that are coming handle cells, frames, and
packets as a mix. Not only that, they will tell you what your
customers are doing, and they won't charge you a lot of machine
overhead for it.

My question is: Does DGIV have these new "router switches, or plans to get them? Interesting article I would like to hear from others.

Thanks crew.

Just wondering,
