The whole chip industry is falling off a cliff. So, why is NEC expanding its chip plant in Roseville, California? Something's amiss here. The entire planet thinks that chips are in such oversupply that the whole industry is shutting down. Yet, today's Sacramento Bee has front cover story of NEC expanding plant here. Oh well, that's what makes a market.
