QUESTION ONE OF MANY REGARDING OILEX/CAYE CHAPEL: From my post #3141 of March 29, 1998 on the Oilex thread: TRACKING DOWN CAYE CHAPEL: I understand that at least some people on this thread are promoting Caye Chapel as a savoir for Oilex. Wanting to learn a bit more about Caye Chapel, I decided to contact their corporate headquarters in Las Vegas to discuss the company and it's activities concerning Oilex and other companies. Here is the scenario I went through trying to find Caye Chapel. I think the extended chain of "non-official" contacts and referrals is of significant interest in establishing background on Caye Chapel. 1. Called Directory Assistance in Las Vegas, NV. No known phone listing under Caye Chapel. 2. Called Allen Jones of C.Jones & Company (303-470-8783), Caye Chapel's investor relations firm. (Also the investor relations firm for Oilex.) Requested the phone number for the corporate office and was put on hold for several minutes. Mr. Jones came back on saying "This is a tough one" and referred me to the corporate attorney's phone in Las Vegas, NV. Note that the referral to the corporate attorney was necessary because he wasn't able to provide an phone number for the corporate headquarters. 3. Called the office of Shawn F. Hackman, Attorney for Caye Chapel (702-732-2253) in Las Vegas, NV. Spoke with a woman answering the phone. After explaining that I was attempting to locate the corporate headquarters for Caye Chapel she said I needed to talk with "Bridgette" and gave me another Las Vegas phone number. When I pressed as to whether or not Bridgette was with the corporate office, the woman replied "She should be able to tell you about the company". 4. Called Bridgette (702-735-5960) in Las Vegas, NV. Spoke with Bridgette. They are not the corporate office, merely "the people who handle their corporate filings". I continued to press for information on how to contact the corporate office and Bridgette handed me over to a man named "Peter" who got on the phone. After telling me the company looked very promising and the stock should really take off, he finally gave me the name of Baron-Marney in Gig Harbor, WA. Again, after explaining that I was trying to reach the corporate headquarters of Caye Chapel he insisted that Baron-Marney would be whom I should contact. 5. Called Baron-Marney (800-608-4744) in Gig Harbor, WA. Spoke with the woman who answered the phone. I again asked for the phone number of the corporate office and she gave me the corporate attorney number in Las Vegas (see #3 above). Upon more pressuring on my part, she finally said that I may want to talk with the President of Caye Chapel, Ken Liebscher. She said I could reach him in the early morning hours at 800-882-3213 saying that I should not be alarmed if they answered the phone with some other company name. She advised me to press line 2 as though I wanted to "order some products". 6. Called 800-882-3213. Received recorded message advising to press line 1 for other information or line 2 to order products. Trust me the products weren't oil and gas. They didn't know Caye Chapel but did know of Ken Liebscher and advised me to call 604-683-6648. 7. Called 604-683-6648 --- Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Finally found Ken Liebscher who is president of Caye Chapel. 8. Mr. Liebscher advises me that apparently Resources Group (?) is his umbrella management firm which handles several companies including two others of his own, Belmont Resources (Vanc:BEO) and ETC Industries, Ltd. (Vanc:EIL). 9. Regarding his Caye Chapel/Oilex connections, Mr. Liebscher advises me that he has been working very closely with Allen Burditt at Oilex in working out the details of the proposed merger/acquisition. Now I certainly don't want to be accused of innuendo here but I would like to ask a few questions. A. Shouldn't one think that the investor relations firm for a company know where and how to reach that company's "corporate headquarters"? B. Why would the company's attorney have such problems making a referral to the corporate headquarters? Their referral to Bridgette was clearly, in my opinion, with the knowledge that Bridgette knew about the company but was not their corporate headquarters. C. Why would Bridgette and Peter, who handle the corporate filings for Caye Chapel, not know how to contact the corporate headquarters for Caye Chapel? D. Why would Baron-Marney, Caye Chapel's investment banking advisors (along with serving as advisors to Oilex and Titan), not know how to contact the corporate headquarters for Caye Chapel? E. Why would Ken Liebscher, President of Caye Chapel, be based outside of the United States? F. Why would Allen L. Burditt, II be the person with whom Caye Chapel is working closely? He is not an officer, not a director, and according to some on this thread "not in control" of Oilex. Shouldn't Caye Chapel be conducting these discussions with Oliver H. Timmins, Richard Clark or other officers or directors of Oilex? G. If Caye Chapel is actually operated out of a foreign country, Canada, why all the referrals by corporate advisors to Las Vegas, Nevada? H. Why would Caye Chapel want to portray to investors that they are based in Las Vegas, Nevada, when apparently that is not the case? I know I will be accused of posting innuendo about Caye Chapel because of this post. I merely post this confusing web of referrals out of curiosity as to whether anyone can shed light on all of this. If Caye Chapel is indeed the savior of Oilex and it's investors, one should be able to have some confidence in Caye Chapel, the people behind it and the mere existence of the corporation itself. I, for one, have a lot of questions to ask before being convinced that Caye Chapel is for real. Can some one out there help me out? If anyone can clear up all of these confusing referrals I would be most grateful! Offie
