Jon,,, I agree that augers are excellent tools for the correct conditions. They are very fast in comparison to RC drilling which I believe would also require some casing, especially the upper levels which have been known to shift ...hmnnnn....Wasn't there something in the news about a slide. Funny how riverbeds are loaded those perfect size rocks which make it past the the cutting edge, then turn and wedge in the most amazing ways. Hey,,,,You can be the one that suggests to Terry that they freeze the ground with liquid nitrogen prior to drilling..... We do know that they purchased a drill! Whatever became of it? Terry said that they had it reworked,,,In what way,,,What is your guess?
