Sorry, I am not in the telecom business and I have no technical analysis to offer regarding Ericsson's Y2K problems. I just posted that article because it seemed like a concrete example of an embedded Y2K problem that would be of interest to this thread. You were the recipient because you had made the most recent post.

The article confirms that there is a Y2K problem with some of Ericsson's switches, and that they have a solution. What I find scary (given the current world turmoil) is that these switches are used in 125 countries. Let us hope that all of these get fixed in time.
