Paul, Re: >"Please understand these are my OPINIONS and are not intended to influence your investment decisions, nor are they offered as investment advice."<

Thanks for your opinions. I agree with many of them expecialy Intel approaching a buy.

I think Mr Greenspan should listen more to what the experts in interest rates are trying to tell him -the bond market keeps trying to , and is lowering the long rate. I would suspect it would be lower if the inverted curve wasn't so near. Eventually the bond market will win out and Mr Greenspan will give in, short rates will go to between 5-5 1/4. Wage inflation will never happen, already started to slow. Next move in the market is up up and away and I do not want to miss out this time. This is a false correction for all the wrong reasons.

< Here is my best understanding of the situation. >

Thanks for a very informative post.

<only the currency destabilization could force the Feds hand.>

I believe attacks on the US currency will become more likely once
a second, credible, global currency develops - ie. the Euro.

<Short term I'm in the camp of another move back up in the market.>

If Intel does not warn, the market will move up to between 75-80.

Fiondella - Re: "my buddy Paul, with all of his assets in one stock and apparently nothing in the bank except Intel stock certificates is doing exactly what one shouldn't do. "

Smart guys like you did better! They bought Novell at $30+ and sold it out at a >$100,000 loss at $6 - $7!

Smart guys like you also shorted Microsoft at $73.25 right before it squirted up to $98 and are still losing big bucks with Microsoft down to $85!

For a guy who has done nothing but LOSE MONEY - BIG TIME, you sure have a lot of gas in you!
