I don't credit that part of the post with much weight, Maureen O'Gara likes to stir the coals to see if she can get any sparks. MSFT, Intel and CPQ are the most frequent partners in a lot of technical and standards work, look at VI Architecture as a recent example.

Some people at CPQ have known (or suspected) for a long time that Merced would slip and CPQ would only be prudent to minimize impact of that slip on CPQ's business. The Intel relationship is obviously a critical one for CPQ, and I think CPQ is still Intel's biggest customer. CPQ, Intel and MSFT all have a big stake in the success of 64 bit computing, and I would expect them to work together to assure that success at least as well as they have in the past. I would expect CPQ to get as much mileage out of their current position as possible, but would not think much of that mileage will be at Intel's expense.
