What I would say is that it show commitment on the part of the founder, an essential ingredient in all early-stage venture. A sign of a real strong entrepreneur, dedicated to the enterprise. This investment on my part should be fully recognized if merger discussions are to continue.

P.S. I am not looking at cashing-out of my investment, simply using it to acquire a piece of a bigger organization.
