Portfolio Update: stopped out of VCR (but I still like it) so I am paring down my holdings. Here is a percentage breakdown and a bit of my strategy:

DOCDF, FFC, WMB, WPO - about 70% of my portfolio because they are low beta, solid growth stocks which should ride out a market correction well.

THQI, MEDQ, CDG - about 20%. Higher risk but good performers. Holding CDG for a turnaround in oil prices. I have no idea when that will be.

MEME, NRAG, XYBR - about 5% altogether. High risk speculative plays.

CASH - about 5%.

SHORT - ZITL, QADI - worth just over 10% of my long position. Not to ready to short big time in this whipsaw market. Wish I had the deep pockets to short several high flyers and just wait, but small investors have to be money managers, too.

OVERALL PERFORMANCE: Down a few points for the year after ending the first quarter up about 15%. That's right, guys, read the thread and learn from my mistakes.
