So the "heirs" can wait for at least 3 years before getting paid...if one can believe De Beers, that is... The MOST interesting part of that old De Beers' press release (which you may have authored), quote: "De Beers has given a commitment that it will not take transfer of the mineral rights until mid May at the latest,....." (something wrong with De Beers' calendar! -- today is May 31!-- some commitment!) ...."Provided that the appropriate authorisations and environmental approvals have been obtained in terms of the Minerals Act, 1991, and that due diligence findings are satisfactory, De Beers will embark on a small-scale mining operation on the property." -- (Don't hold your breath...) The longer it takes the more interest the heirs will lose... So far its five months' worth, had they cashed in the SUF's cheque in January....

There has been some unsettling news that has reached me concerning one of of the managers of SUF on the Angolan operations. Vaughn has updated this thread on the Angolan situation and I wonder if you could confirm this 'incident'?
