Mouse? Heck! I'm still trying to find out who at IBM had the bright idea to take the function keys from the left-hand side of the keyboard--where they belonged--and put them across the top!

Seriously, though, the reason transcriptionists want to keep their fingers on the keyboard is that it is the more productive way to work, and production is the name of the game.

I have never understood why DOS seems complicated to so many. To me, Windows is infinitely more complicated. If it weren't, there wouldn't be so many products out there designed to sit on top of Windows (which, in the end, still sits on top of DOS) to make Windows easy to use. What I think these people mean to say is that Windows is prettier to look at, but even that is debatable.
