Here's exactly what I said - "anyone who thinks of Alpha as Merced's fallback for Intel really has no clue as to what Merced is all about and why Alpha despite an excellent design is where it is today ". Since you seem to identify yourself with the "anyone.. " in my statement, let me ask you directly- - Do you think that Alpha is Merced's fallback for Intel? - Do you think the Alpha is where it is (in market position) because of its excellent design? A yes or no answer would suffice and would tell me whether you really read complete posts before replying or you just need an outlet to let off steam.
