That is what everyone should do anyway. However please understand somestime good intentions, wants, wishes, desires are not always what reality is. This is a fully reporting company and they have to follow the SEC rules. The advantage I have is I am still studying the rules of the SEC so I know what to expect. I bet brokers are telling you that you have to have bought by Tuesday in order to get the dividend/ split and probably sold the dividend and all based on good delivery heck wednesday thursday and friday and now the ex date is like the news release states MAy 29 at the end of the business day. It is not a priveldge but a responsibility for ever investor to educate themselves if they are going to trade actively in the market. People should be responsible for investment. If a doctor tells me I have cancer I am going to get about 5 more opinions. GB
