RE: "<<<The incidents that he describes, like the resumption of the activities of daily living, recalling how to play the piano, recalling ah, negative feelings about a wife, seem to me to be exactly what would happen with patients with restoration of memory. "

So what is the point...

Too many Variables for these irresponsible STATEMENTS:

Alz's Patients generally retain MOTOR SKILLS...ingrained in habit and LONG term memory

Ability to learn/perform Motor Skills is greatly enhanced with REPETITION ALONE...

Music and rhythm..help motor skill performance at times.

Alz's patients don't, for example, forget HOW to walk...They may Forget TO walk...or they may not have a purposeful mission WHEN they walk...but the actual motor skill of walking is so ingrained in proprioceptive input, fast sensory input pathways, slow sensory input pathways, muscle reflex, memories of walking, memories of activities involving walking, LONG term memory remnants, SHORT term memory remnants,
kinesthetic awareness, yada yada yada, it is not forgotten by even an Alzheimer's patient.

IMO, if the guy is a scientist....be a scientist and follow scientific method...Granted...it appears he is very concerned about raising RISK capital and enjoys the Marketing challenges....But doing it as a family Business raises some doubts (for me) about this character...
